Timing: The Moon occupies the sign of Virgo from Tuesday the 15th at 7:37pm UTC until Thursday the 17th at 7:55pm UTC.

Moon in Virgo: Peregrine, a foreign place without support. Since Mercury is of the daytime sect currently, her ruler is not a sectmate. On its own, Virgo moons are generally good times to get your ducks in a row and sort your life out. Cleaning, organizing, and doing activities which lead to more control and mastery over the details of your life is more successful here. Doing taxes or payroll – really anything involving details and precision – will be more successful now.

Triplicity and Quadruplicity: Bicorporeal Earth. Bicorporeality indicates activities and moods which are a mean between the extremes of movability (cardinality) and fixedness, not as erratic and changing as the former, but not as solid and steady as the latter. The earth element emphasizes the physical body and propensity for work, and the Moon in an earth sign often expresses more practicality, groundedness, and a concern for the material world.

Moon’s ruler: The Moon is averse to her ruler Mercury in Libra. There is no help for the Moon in supporting her significations, and so it will be difficult to make anything positive or long-lasting come out of this period.

Aspects

• Conjunction with the Sun. The sun-moon conjunction indicates great harmony between our own will and the environment around us. This is classically a great opportunity for ritual magic and ceremony, especially for setting intentions.

• Superior Earth Trine to Jupiter in Capricorn. This brings great support from teachers and authority figures. emotional bouyancy will abound more so than usual, and the mood will be more optimistic than is generally the case with Moon in Virgo. But…

• Superior Earth Trine to Saturn in Capricorn. This will offset some of the above optimism. You may find difficult experiences coming up that will thwart your agenda or sidetrack you, but you can transmute the difficult events or emotions that arise much more easily given the trine aspect.

Summary: This Virgo period, don’t focus so much on making any lasting change, committing to any new permanent habits, etc. Focus on the present, organize your life, and straighten out the clutter. Your ability to work in the moment and be successful will be greatly amplified by the sun-moon conjunction. Do those little chores you’ve been putting off and strive to push yourself a little more. While you may find some roadblocks coming your way from Saturn, they will ultimately turn into your favor.
